does covid brain fog go away?
It’s normal to feel a little out of it during a pandemic. But when does brain fog go away?
Symptoms of Covid-19 can include fever, chest and respiratory problems, body aches and fatigue. For some people, the cognitive effects of the virus may be an added burden.
Studies on the cognitive effects of Covid-19 are still in their early stages, but there is some evidence that suggests that the brain fog may clear up over time.
In one study, Chinese researchers found that the majority of participants (83 percent) showed some improvement in mental function after two weeks. And while some people reported continued cognitive problems even after eight weeks, most showed significant improvement.
It’s important to note that not everyone will experience cognitive problems during or after infection with Covid-19 and that these problems may vary in severity from person to person. If you are experiencing any cognitive difficulties, it is best to speak to your doctor.
